Space/weight allowance

Everything you bring (including tent, sleeping bag) has to fit into 2 soft sided duffel bags, so get two bags that are big enough to hold all of your stuff.

 

Personal

Deodorant
Baby wipes (only compostable)
Lip balm?with sun screen
Compact or unbreakable mirror (or phone)
Hand sanitizer
Lotion
Cosmetics bag
Sunscreen
Ziploc bags
Identification
Credit card
ATM card
Small wallet
Reading glasses
Ear plugs and/or eye mask
Prescription medications
Travel towel (quick dry)
Hand towel (quick dry)
Several bandanas
Bug spray or wipes
Tylenol/ibuprofen
Band-aids
First aid kit

 

Clothing

Socks for a week (Not cotton. Quick dry or smart wool)
2-7 shirts (quick dry preferred)
2-7 pairs of shorts or skirts (quick dry or smart wool)
2-3 pairs of pants
Something comfortable to wear in camp
1 bathing suit
Undergarments for a week
1-2 pairs of shoes to march (buy more later on)
Sandals to wear at camp and/or in shower
Hat with a brim
Pajamas
Rain suit

 

Devices

Small battery operated fan
Camera (phone)
Cell phone and charger
Ipod & headphones
Small portable solar charger

 

Camping

Tent - 3 season

Footprint - a cheap option is just heavy tarp from a hardware store cut to size

Sleeping pad
Sleeping bag (20 degree)
1 pillow (small)
Battery operated head lamp and/or lantern and/or flashlight
Collapsible camp chair (if you have room in your duffel)
Flat twin-sized sheet

 

Walking

Day pack and/or fanny pack
Carabiners
Reusable water bottle/Camelbak/bladder

 

Entertainment

Balls
